Tabita Berglund returns to Sweden this week to conduct the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra in a concert at the Gothenburg Concert Hall on 11 March. She is joined by soloist Ida Falk Winland for Mahler’s Symphony No.4 as well as, Irgens-Jensen’s Japanischer Frühling which will open the programme. Tabita journeys on to Hamburg later this month to make her debut with NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra in one concerts on 27 March at Musik- und Kongresshalle Lübeck, and two concerts on 29 March in the Elbphilharmonie’s Grand Hall. Opening with Geirr Tveittt’s Velkomne med aera, she leads the players in Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1 with soloist Alexander Melnikov and Sibelius’s Symphony No.2.
