Ming Luke appointed Music Director of Royal Winnipeg Ballet

We are pleased to announce that Ming Luke has been appointed Music Director of Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
Praised for “energy, creativity and charisma not seen since Leonard Bernstein” and described as “vibrant,” “mind-blowing,” and “spectacular,” Luke is a versatile conductor with an international profile. Highlights include conducting the Bolshoi Orchestra in Moscow, Romeo and Juliet and Cinderella at the Kennedy Center, Swan Lake at Teatro Real, his English debut at Sadler’s Wells, and Dvořák’s Requiem in Prague. He currently serves as Music Director for Merced Symphony and Berkeley Community Chorus and Orchestra; Music Director and Principal Conductor of Nashville Ballet; Education Conductor and Director for Berkeley Symphony; and Principal Guest Conductor for San Francisco Ballet.
