Marc Albrecht joins HarrisonParrott for general management

HarrisonParrott is delighted to welcome Marc Albrecht to the roster for General Management. Chief Conductor Designate to the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Marc Albrecht, will take up the position from the 2026/27 season. Sought after in both symphonic and operatic repertoire, Marc Albrecht is highly regarded for his outstanding interpretations of Romantic and 20th-century works, as well as his championing of contemporary music.
Albrecht has appeared at many of the world’s leading opera houses, among them the Royal Opera House, La Scala, Opéra de Paris, Bayerische Staatsoper, and Semperoper Dresden. Symphonic engagements include the Berliner Philharmoniker, Orchestre National de France, Cleveland Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic, Gulbenkian Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, NHK Symphony Orchestra, and Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra.
The 2025/26 season sees Marc Albrecht conduct both Wagner’s Lohengrin and a revival of Schreker’s Der Schatzgräber at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. At Oper Köln, he returns for new productions of Wagner’s Das Rheingold and Die Walküre directed by Paul-Georg Dittrich. Earlier this season, he appeared at the Ultraschall Festival in Berlin with the Deutsches Symphonie‑Orchester Berlin, and other symphonic engagements include the Dresdner Philharmonie, Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo, and the Filarmónica de Buenos Aires at the Teatro Colón.
