
Conductor Aurel Dawidiuk appointed General Music Director of Bochumer Symphoniker

HarrisonParrott is delighted to announce that conductor Aurel Dawidiuk has been appointed General Music Director of Bochumer Symphoniker and Intendant of Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr, in Germany, from the 2026/27 season.
At its meeting on Thursday, 9 October, the Bochum City Council approved the unanimous vote of the Administrative Board of the Kulturinstitute Bochum AöR. The official contract signature ceremony is to take place on Thursday, 16 October, at 13:00 CET.
Born in Hanover, Aurel Dawidiuk is currently Associate Conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam. Highlights of his guest-conducting engagements include Bamberg Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. As a pianist and organist, he is featured at venues such as the Berlin Philharmonie, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Wiener Konzerthaus, and Tonhalle Zürich.
