RODERICK COX CONDUCTS CHINEKE! ORCHESTRA ON THEIR EUROPEAN TOUR
22/9/2025
This September, Roderick Cox reunites with the Chineke! Orchestra, joining them on a major European tour, which also features an all-star line-up of soloists: violinist Tai Murray, cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, and pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason.
The programme features Coleridge-Taylor’s Ballade in A minor and Beethoven’s Triple Concerto for violin, cello and piano, followed by a London premiere of Errollyn Wallen’s Flourish, and concluding with William Dawson’s powerful Negro Folk Symphony.
Audiences in the UK and Europe have the opportunity to see Cox and the orchestra in concert over several dates in September and October, including Warwick on 24 September, Paris on 26 September, Dublin on 30 September, Dortmund on 2 October, and their final concert in Antwerp on 3 October; with a special concert at the Royal Festival Hall in London on 28 September to celebrate the orchestra’s 10th anniversary, having given their first ever concert at the Southbank in September 2015.
