On 28 June, cellist Nicolas Altstaedt joins Thomas Adès at the Berliner Philharmonie for his debut appearance with Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, performing Adès’ Lieux retrouvés (version for cello and small orchestra). Also featuring on the programme are ​‘Rondes de printemps’ from Debussy’s Images pour orchestre, Adès’ Dawn, Mark Simpson’s Israfel, and Sibelius’ Symphony No.7.
