HarrisonParrott Foundation welcomes trumpeter Matilda Lloyd as a Patron
6/5/2025
The HarrisonParrott Foundation is very proud to welcome trumpeter, Matilda Lloyd, as a Patron of the HarrisonParrott Foundation. Matilda’s personal journey reflects both the opportunities that music education can offer and the urgent need to widen access for all young people, regardless of background. Her passion for equity in classical music aligns closely with our mission, and we’re proud to have her championing initiatives like Music Access Awareness Week and our annual Symposium. Together, we look forward to celebrating the creativity, fun, and community that music can bring.
Matilda stated:
“Having grown up in a musical family in Kent, I was very privileged to be able to learn 3 different instruments, attend multiple residential orchestral courses and choirs in school holidays and attend Junior Guildhall on Saturday mornings. However, most young people in the UK do not have this kind of access to classical music, and charities like the HarrisonParrott Foundation are absolutely essential in engaging young people of all backgrounds and showcasing the fun, the community and the creativity of classical music. I’m delighted to be a Patron of the Foundation and to be able to support its partnerships and projects such as Music Access Awareness Week and its annual Symposium.
