Foundation workshop: in partnership with LMP Action C.I.C
On 11 April 2023, the HarrisonParrott Foundation volunteers had the pleasure of running a workshop in partnership with LMP Action C.I.C with a group of young students at Latymer Upper School.
“There is a role for everybody in the music industry.”Lissy Kelleher-Clarke (HarrisonParrott Foundation Manager)
“I didn’t start at HarrisonParrott — I started working as a publishing assistant and a content assistant at the Royal Opera House. I got where I am today because I invested a lot of time and energy into my hobby. I enjoyed singing.”Alice Jones (Associate Artist Manager)
“I decided to sit down and think about all of the things I could put on my resume – many of those skills were not directly related to music, but I could still use them in the field to be creative and effective.”Lucie Rivet (Website and Social Media Officer)
“I’ve been working in the arts industry for nearly twelve years now, having changed course a few times, trying out a few different things alongside full-time jobs. Don’t be afraid to think that you can move laterally in this industry!”Katya Walker-Arnott (Artist and Project Manager)
“What happens is that you find your tribe, you find the people who kind of go in the same direction as you. If you are thinking that you have to be lead guitarist of the group, that’s not necessarily true. Maybe you’re the person who records the group’s first EP.”Theodor Küng (Associate Artist Manager)
