
VIOLINIST MARI SAMUELSEN TO PERFORM FIRST POST-COVID19 LIVE STREAMED CONCERT 29 MAY 8PM CET

Mari performs at IdagioLIVE on 29 May 8pm CET
Mari Samuelsen will be performing her first virtual and interactive concert, from Idagio Live’s Global Concert Hall series — their brand new initiative.
Mari and her musician friends will perform works by Philip Glass, Ludovico Einaudi and Brian Eno, as well as the World Premiere of her newest Deutsche Grammophon releases.
Performing alongside a string quintet and pianist, the audience is invited to vote for the encore they want to hear as well as joining the musicians in the Virtual Green Room afterwards, where Mari Samuelsen will answer questions given by the audience. This will be the first of a new series of virtual and interactive performances launch by Idagio Live.

As well as releases with Deutsche Grammophon Mari has also recently recorded and gave the world premiere of Max Richter’s Voices at the Barbican.
Upcoming performances for her include her debuts with the BBC Concert Orchestra at Southbank Centre in London and with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, as well as Klassiktage in Germany and Bachfest in Moss, Norway. Mari has collaborated with artists such as Joep Beving, Max Richter, Jeff Mills among others
Mari is an exclusive Deutsche Grammophon artist and in 2019 released her self-titled album, MARI, which BBC Music Magazine described as having “a radiant eloquence that traces the music’s emotional peaks and troughs with a compelling sense of inevitability”.
