Lisa Batiashvili sees in the new year with a return to the Berliner Philharmoniker. Performing alongside long-time collaborator Alan Gilbert, Batiashvili performs Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.2 on 24, 25 and 26 January in the Philharmonie Berlin.
The performance on 26 January is broadcast live on the Berliner Philharmoniker Digital Concert Hall.
Batiashvili and Gilbert perform the concerto again at the end of February with Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (23, 24, 26, and 27 February).
Batiashvili’s most recent recording of Prokofiev, including the 2nd concerto, was awarded an Opus Klassik Award.
