Stephen Waarts is looking forward to releasing his debut album ​“Bartok & Schumann” on 30 November. Recorded in July this year for Rubicon with Italian pianist and recital partner Gabriele Carcano, the album will feature Three Romances by Schumann, Bartók’s Hungarian Dances as well as the first violin sonatas of both composers. Bartók and Schumann, although very different in music and style, are amongst Stephen’s favourites and he was particularly keen to showcase the musical connection between both.
