Andreas Scholl presents his programme — Small Gifts of Heaven — at the Kissinger Sommer Festival on 29 June and MDR Musiksommer on 1 July. Devised in collaboration with the acclaimed recorder player, Dorothee Oberlinger, the programme is built around J. S. Bach’s Cantatas for Alto and flute with further instrumental works by Bach and his contemporary Antonio Vivaldi. 

The programme will be taken on tour in the autumn to deSingel in Antwerp, Riehen, St. Gallen, Luzern and finally to Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, with further dates planned in Spain and Cologne, and a disc to be released by Sony in October.
