Derek Welton appears for the first time as Graf von Saint-Bris in David Alden’s new production of Meyerbeer’s Les Huguenots for Deutsche Oper Berlin. Conducted by Michele Mariotti, performances open on 13 November.

2016/17 marks Welton’s second season as a member of Deutsche Oper. He’s just enjoyed success under Donald Runnicles as Klingsor (Parsifal) and other commitments there this season include Heerrufer (Lohengrin) and his first Wotan (Das Rheingold).
