Glyndebourne Festival claims Golda Schultz’s British debut
27/6/2016
Rising star soprano Golda Schultz makes her British debut singing Contessa Almaviva for Glyndebourne Festival in Michael Grandage’s production of Le nozze di Figaro. Under the baton of Jonathan Cohen, performances run from 3 July to 24 August.
This debut follows the South African soprano’s acclaimed performances of Carmen at Munich’s Bayerische Staatsoper, and her impressive list of major debuts continues next season with Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) under Franz Welser-Möst at Teatro alla Scala, before returning to Munich in performances as Liù (Turandot) and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte).
