Jonathan McGovern gives a recital at Musée d’Orsay
20/5/2016
Jonathan McGovern sings in recital at Musée d’Orsay accompanied by James Baillieu on 24 May. The programme is inspired by poet Guillaume Apollinaire, and features settings by Poulenc and Durey.
French repertoire has been key to Jonathan’s current season — he opened it with his debut as Pelléas (Pelléas et Mélisande) with English Touring Opera and has recently concluded performances of Les fêtes vénitiennes with William Christie and Les Arts Florissants in Toulouse and on tour to Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York. Next season he will make his anticipated debut at Staatsoper Hamburg as Papageno (Die Zauberflöte).
