Anne Sofie von Otter presents ‘Monstres, sorcières et magiciennes’
7/3/2016
This month Anne Sofie Von Otter, baritone Laurent Naouri and Le concert d’Astrée under Emmanuelle Haïm present both the good and the evil in opera with a programme entitled ‘Monstres, sorcières et magicienne’ featuring music from operas by Charpentier, Lully, Leclair and Rameau.
Anne Sofie appears at the Grand Théâtre de Provence in Aix (12 March), the Collégiale Saint-Martin in Angers (14 March), the Chamber Music Hall in Berlin (16 March), Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris (18 March), the Auditorium de Dijon (20 March) and at Opéra de Lille (23 & 24 March).
Always looking to enlighten a new perspective in her programming, earlier this season Anne Sofie toured the US with Jonathan Cohen and Thomas Dunford in a programme of Baroque music alongside Pärt and Paul Simon, and recently completed a recital tour of the Netherlands with Kristian Bezuidenhout singing Beethoven, Schubert and Lindblad. Looking ahead, Anne Sofie will return to the US and Canada this summer alongside Andreas Scholl and Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra in a programme of Handel, Pärt and Purcell.
