This week Javier Perianes returns to the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich to perform Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor in their subscription concert series, under the baton of Gilbert Varga.

The concerts take place in the Musikverein – marking Perianes’ first performance at the venue – on 18 and 20 December, and at the Festspielhaus in St. Pölten on 21 December. The programme also features Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.6.

Perianes last performed with the orchestra at the Grafenegg Festival in the summer.
