Pierre-Laurent Aimard is Artist in Residence at the Wiener Symphoniker for the 2015/16 Season. Under Music Director Philippe Jordan, he joins the orchestra for a cycle of the complete Beethoven Piano Concertos, beginning with Piano Concerto No.1 at the Musikverein on 3 and 4 October. During his residency, Aimard will also undertake educational activities and a chamber concert with musicians from the orchestra.

The piano concerto cycle continues with Piano Concerto No.4 on 29 and 30 October at the Konzerthaus. Then in 2016 they will perform Concerto No.3 on 13, 14 and 15 January and Concerto No.2 on 11 and 13 May back at the Musikverein, and Concerto No.5 at the Konzerthaus on 1 and 3 April.
