Lawrence Zazzo debuts at Welsh National Opera as Orlando

Making a double debut this week is countertenor Lawrence Zazzo who sings his first Orlando as his debut for Welsh National Opera. In Harry Fehr’s new production conducted by Rinaldo Alessandrini, performances in Cardiff run from 27 September to 7 October, followed by a tour of the UK until 18 November.
Renowned for his baroque interpretations, elsewhere this season Lawrence reunites with Alessandrini for performances of Purcell’s The Fairy Queen with Akademie für alte Musik Berlin and appears as Delio (Veremonda) with Concerto Köln under Gabriel Garrido.
