Making his return to English National Opera, tenor John Daszak opens their 2015/16 season singing Sergei in Dmitri Tcherniakov’s new production of Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk. Conducted by ENO’s new Music Director Mark Wigglesworth performances open on 26 September and run until 20 October.

Maintaining a leading reputation for performances of some of the most challenging repertoire, John reprises the role of Sergei later this season at Opéra de Lyon under Kazushi Ono before travelling to Dresden to sing the leading role in a new production of Hindemith’s rarely staged Mathis der Maler under Simone Young.
