Aga Mikolaj joins the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra for a programme of Mahler and Strauss
17/2/2015
Following acclaimed debuts at the Ravinia Festival with James Conlon and with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel, Aga Mikolaj returns to North America for a series of concerts with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra under chief conductor Benjamin Zander.
In a programme which combines Mahler’s Symphony No.4 and Strauss’ Vier letzte Lieder, Mikolaj appears at multiple venues in Boston on 19, 20, 21 and 22 February. The soprano recently performed both works at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw with the Hallé, and at the Dresdner Philharmonie.
Later this season, Aga Mikolaj returns to the US for Beethoven’s Symphony No.9 with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra under Krzysztof Urbánski, and Verdi’s Messa da Requiem at Boston’s Symphony Hall.
