On 15July Behzod Abduraimov debuts with the Los Angeles Philharmonic as he steps in for Yefim Bronfman.
Abduraimov performs Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1 in a concert conducted by James Gaffigan at the Hollywood Bowl.
Abduraimov’s recent performances elsewhere in the US — with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and in recital in Washington D.C. — have won him high critical praise from the Boston Globe “impressive poise and immediacy”and the Washington Post “I’m not sure I could give higher praise – keep your ear on this one”.
Later this month Abduraimov will perform Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1 with the Mariinsky Orchestra and Valery Gergiev in the closing concert of the Stars of the White Nights Festival in St Petersburg.
