27/4/2014
Lisa Batiashvili is soloist with The Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin in a concert at New York’s Carnegie Hall. Batiashvili performs Bartók’s lyrical Violin Concerto No.1 in the concert on 2 May.
Regular musical partners, Batiashvili and Nézet-Séguin worked together most recently on a highly successful European tour with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. The 2 May programme will also be performed on 1 May and 3 May at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.
Batiashvili returns to New York next season, as the New York Philharmonic’s Artist in Residence for 2014/15, when she will give a number of concerto and recital performances throughout the year.
