Anne Sofie von Otter undertakes a recital tour in the US with pianist Emanuel Ax.

They perform a programme of songs by Brahms, as well as specially commissioned works written in homage to Brahms — So Many Thingsfor mezzo-soprano and piano by Nico Muhly and Bolts of Loving Thunder for solo piano by Missy Mazzoli.

The tour opens in Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles on 21 January, and continues to Zellerbach Hall, Berkeley (23 January) and Chicago Symphony Center (26 January), ending in New York’s Carnegie Hall on 28 January.
