Composer Ben Rowarth releases his latest album Sketches on 16 October 2026. This nine-track, self-released album marks a new creative direction for Rowarth, who has composed, performed and produced every track himself.

Speaking about the album, Rowarth writes:

“With this new album I wanted to play around with mixing together sounds and influences from all sorts of different directions… The album is a real departure for me, being the first album I’ve fully produced and performed on as well as written… Many of the tracks are influenced by the natural world, some actually featuring natural sound such as birdsong and rainfall… My process was almost semi-improvisatory. I allowed myself to put down a track on the piano in one and then added other layers gradually… This process gave me the freedom to really engage with the music I was creating in real time and as a result each track becomes a bit of an emotional outpouring.“

Sketches is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
