Christopher Warren-Green renews Music Director contract with Charlotte Symphony
The Charlotte Symphony has extended Christopher Warren-Green’s position of Music Director for a third term, through to the end of the 2018/19 season.
Since taking up the position in the 2010/11 season, Warren-Green has raised the artistic level of the orchestra and broadened their audiences by introducing new inventive series and collaborating with community arts groups.
Charlotte Symphony President and CEO Bob Stickler commented, “as an organization, and truly as a city, we are very fortunate to have a globally recognized and well-respected Music Director with such great passion and vision for our future.”
Warren-Green returns to Charlotte to open the orchestra’s 2015/16 season on 25 September conducting a concert of works by Stravinsky and Beethoven with pianist Behzod Abduraimov as soloist.
