26 October 2015

Music Director and Principal Conductor of the London Chamber OrchestraChristopher Warren-Green opens the LCO’s 2015/16 season with an all-Beethoven concert on 28 October at Cadogan Hall.

Programmed in conjunction with HarrisonParrott as part of the three-year consultancy, the LCO’s 2015/16 season marks the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo and explores the life and legacy of one of history’s most controversial figures, Napoleon Bonaparte. The concert on 28 October features Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.5 (with soloist Yevgeny Sudbin) and Symphony No.5, and is preceded by a free early concert performance of Schoenberg’s Ode to Napoleon.

Particularly renowned for his sensitive interpretation of repertoire from the Classical period, Warren-Green conducts an all-Beethoven programme again with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in December 2015. He will then lead a programme of Mozart and Schubert with the Orchestre National de Belgique in March 2016 as part of their subscription series.
