Christian Tetzlaff continues Wigmore Hall Residency with Tetzlaff Quartet date
As part of Christian Tetzlaff’s season as Wigmore Hall Artist in Residence for 2012/13, the Tetzlaff Quartet gives a concert on 2 March, featuring Haydn’s String Quartet in C, Op.20 No.2, Berg’s Lyric Suite and Beethoven’s String Quartet in A minor, Op.132.
Tetzlaff opened his residency in September 2012 with Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin by Bach. In January, he performed Brahms’ three sonatas for violin and piano with long-term collaborator Lars Vogt; the partnership’s Ondine CD, released last year, of Mozart Sonatas for violin and piano, has been met with considerable critical acclaim. In May, Tetzlaff returns to the Wigmore Hall to give a duo recital with fellow violinist Antje Weithaas.
Also in May, he performs Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No.1 with the London Symphony Orchestra under Antonio Pappano at the Barbican Centre.
