Ksenija Sidorova signs to Deutsche Grammophon
30/3/2016
Ksenija Sidorova and Deutsche Grammophon have announced an exclusive recording collaboration.
Described by one critic as “the Princess of Accordion” Ksenija marks her Deutsche Grammophon debut with an album entitled ‘Carmen’. Released in June and based on Bizet’s heroine, the album presents seductively fresh arrangements influenced by Latin, Asian, European and North American musical styles.
Commenting on the signing, Ute Fesquet, DG’s Vice President, Artists & Repertoire said: “We are delighted to welcome such a remarkable talent to our roster. Ksenija puts heart and soul into every performance. She is one of those genuinely rare performers who can transcend genre boundaries and beguile audiences with the intense beauty and vitality of her music-making.”
Ksenija’s forthcoming highlights include her debut as a Junge Wilde artist at the Konzerthaus Dortmund, her debut at the Ravinia Festival and chamber music concerts with Miloš and Andreas Ottensamer in Berlin, Wigmore Hall and at the Verbier Festival.
