18/3/2015
To mark the beginning of Martin Fröst’s tenure as the new Artistic Partner of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, this weekend Martin appears in two concerts within the orchestra’s Cal Performances residency at the University of California.
The concerts take place in the University’s Hertz Hall in Berkeley, and Martin performs Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto on 20 March and Anders Hillborg’s Concerto Peacock Tales on 21 March.
Martin Fröst was appointed one of the SPCO’s Artistic Partners following his hugely successful debut with the orchestra in November 2014, and the partnership will continue until the 2018/19 season.
Last week saw Martin making another US debut, performing Copland’s Clarinet Concerto under the baton of Andrés Orozco-Estrada with Houston Symphony.
