Netherlands Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras

Alongside its vibrant series of orchestral concerts at the magnificent Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Orchestra also finds time for a pioneering educational and community programme working throughout the Netherlands as well as maintaining its position as resident orchestra of the Netherlands Opera. Under the late Yakov Kreizberg, the Netherlands Philharmonic gave a number of European tours and also made its BBC Proms debut with German violinist, Julia Fischer with whom this partnership collaborated with regularly. In April 2010 Yakov Kreizberg and Julia Fischer joined forces again, this time with the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, for a three concert residency at Frankfurt’s Alte Oper featuring all the Mozart violin concerti and a performance at Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional.
