The Swedish Chamber Orchestra, a relatively young ensemble, was founded in 1995. It's well established as a full-time ensemble of 38 musicians, presenting not only the traditional chamber orchestra repertoire, but also repertoire usually performed by full-size symphony orchestra.
Through HarrisonParrott and with their music director, Thomas Dausgaard, the orchestra recently embarked upon their debut tour of Asia - for 5 concerts in Japan. Plans for the future include a return visit!
