The International Piano Series is managed by HarrisonParrott on behalf of a consortium of the leading London agencies and now in its 19th season the Series is one of the core elements of the classical programme at London’s South Bank.
With around 16 recitals per season at the Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall the Series is a celebration of supreme artistic excellence featuring the world’s leading pianists. Alongside the established maestros we also like to give a platform to exceptional young talent and take a stewardship role in building and managing the careers of young artists.
The International Piano Series hosts performances by some of the greatest pianists alive and we are delighted to welcome so many Royal Festival Hall recitalists back to the gloriously refurbished hall.
Cycles of works play a special role this season, with the wonderful Angela Hewitt performing Bach’s complete Well-Tempered Klavier and the French keyboard titan Pierre-Laurent Aimard offering Messiaen’s mystical masterpiece Vingt Regards sur l’enfant Jésus. The much-loved Richard Goode gives a recital, masterclass and lecture-recital, while among exciting younger artists we can hear Piotr Anderszewski, Steven Osborne and Leif Ove Andsnes. And with concerts by the world-renowned Alfred Brendel, Maurizio Pollini, Mitsuko Uchida and Krystian Zimerman, this season promises to be one of the most thrilling to date.
