Founded in 1962, the Gulbenkian Orchestra plays a fundamental part in the rich tapestry of Portuguese musical life. During its existence, the Gulbenkian Orchestra has visited over 35 countries on four continents and under the leadership of Lawrence Foster, Music Director and Principal Conductor.
HarrisonParrott is working closely with Lawrence Foster and the Gulbenkian Choir and Orchestra on a number of varied projects for future seasons including a tour to Amsterdam, Paris and Madrid in December 2006 performing Stravinsky's Persephone which will feature Hélène Grimaud as narrator.
