HarrisonParrott is delighted to be working with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and its Chief Conductor Paavo Järvi, whose appointment began in the 2006/07 season. Throughout its history stretching over three quarters of a century the Orchestra has built up an enviable international reputation through its concerts, broadcasts and CD recordings.
Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra made their BBC Proms debut in August 2007 under the baton of Paavo Järvi, as part of a major European Summer Festivals tour with the outstanding baritone, Matthias Goerne. During May/June 2008, Paavo Järvi led the Orchestra on an extensive tour of Japan along with Hélène Grimaud including two performances at Suntory Hall and a Brahms symphony cycle at Minato Mirai, Yokohama.
This year the Orchestra looks forward to appearances at numerous European summer festivals as well as two performances in Paavo Järvi’s country of birth, Estonia, with the celebrated Dutch violinist, Janine Jansen.
