Orchestras and Ensembles

The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen

One of Europe's most distinguished chamber orchestras, The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen features strongly in HarrisonParrott's touring list, in projects with both Paavo Järvi, their Artistic Director, and the pianist Hélène Grimaud.

Together with Paavo Järvi they have embarked on an ambitious Beethoven symphony project which they are performing world-wide as well as being in the process of recording the entire cycle on SACD for the prestigious RCA Label. The success of performing the complete cycle of Beethoven symphonies over a four day period at the prestigious Minato Mirai Hall, Yokohama in 2006 resulted in an immediate re-invitation to return to Japan in July 2007 for further Beethoven performances. The cycle has also been performed at the Festival de Strasbourg and Lanaudière Festival, Montreal in 2007 and this will be repeated in Paris in 2009.

The Beethoven recordings have received international critical acclaim: "arguably the greatest chamber orchestra in the world, led by a conductor with exciting but always idiomatic and musically apt ideas … a joyous, athletic Beethoven at his very best" - www.classicstoday.com
