The Czech Philharmonic first performed in public in Prague on 4 January 1896 conducted by Antonín Dvorák. 2004 was a particularly important year for the orchestra which marked the 100th anniversary of Dvorak's death and the 150th anniversary of Janacek's birth. The Czech Philharmonic celebrated these great composers in performances across the world, beginning in March 2004 with its tenth tour of the USA under Andrey Boreyko, and continuing with performances throughout Europe.
HarrisonParrott is pleased to have arranged over 30 international tours for the orchestra, taking them to the most celebrated international music festivals (Salzburg, Edinburgh, Lucerne, BBC Proms) as well as regular appearances in the world's leading musical centres with Vladimir Ashkenazy, who was Chief Conductor between 1998-2003.
