This three week residency took place at the brand new Opera House in Baden-Baden, Germany, whilst the Royal Opera House was closed and undergoing major refurbishment.
The 350 strong Company gave performances of a newly staged production of Verdi's 'I Masnadieri' conducted by Sir Edward Downes; staged performances of the Royal Opera's much-loved production of 'La Traviata' conducted by Placido Domingo; and a concert performance of Strauss' 'Die Aegyptische Helena' conducted by Christian Thielemann.
