Conductor Robert Spano signs to HarrisonParrott for management in Europe and Asia
HarrisonParrott is delighted to welcome Grammy award winning American conductor, composer, pianist and pedagogue Robert Spano to its roster for management in Europe and Asia.
Described by the New York Times as having "that great skill in a conductor of making every performance radiate joy” Robert Spano is currently in his 16th season as Music Director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and is Music Director of the Aspen Music Festival and School.
As well as guest conducting leading orchestras in North America, Spano also brings his inspired programming to Europe and Asia. Engagements include the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, and the Singapore Symphony and Malaysian Philharmonic orchestras.
Equally at home with opera, Spano has conducted at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Welsh National Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago and The Metropolitan Opera, as well as two complete Ring cycles at Seattle Opera. Most recently he conducted Nixon in China at Houston Opera and this year he leads Christopher Theofanidis’ Creation/Creator at the Kennedy Center’s Shift Festival, and conducts and records L'Orfeo with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Chorus.
