Spira mirabilis make their debut at Flanders Festival
Spira mirabilis make their debut at the Flanders Festival in Ghent this week, with a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 at St. Michael’s Church on 26 September. Their performance will begin with an educational introduction to the music they will perform, sharing musical samples with the audience, and after the concert the audience will be given the opportunity to ask the group questions about their music making and the unique approach they bring to the rehearsal, interpretation and performance. The concert will be recorded and broadcast on radio station KLARA at a future date.
Spira mirabilis have recently enjoyed great success with performances of Beethoven Symphony No. 5 both in their home town of Formigine in Italy, where they enjoy large-scale support, and in their debut performance at Schloss Neuhardenberg near Berlin, on 9 September.
