Patricia Kopatchinskaja debuts with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra

Patricia Kopatchinskaja makes her debut with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in Stockholm (12 March) and Norrköping (14 March) under the baton of Sakari Oramo.
Kopatchinskaja and Oramo then embark on a tour of Switzerland with the orchestra, giving performances at the Victoria Hall, Geneva (19 March), the Tonhalle Zürich (20 March), Kultur Casino, Bern (21 March) and the Tonhalle, St Gallen (22 March).
Further highlights of Kopatchinskaja’s schedule include a tour of France and the Netherlands with the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées under Philippe Herreweghe and a performance with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Vladimir Ashkenazy in Madrid.
Oramo’s forthcoming concerts this season include the continuation of his acclaimed Nielsen cycle with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, a concert with Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and further performances with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra as part of their Sibelius/Nielsen festival.
