Krystian Zimerman performs Bernstein with London Symphony Orchestra
Krystian Zimerman performs The Age of Anxiety, a symphonic work inspired by W.H. Auden’s poem, with London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Simon Rattle on 16 December at the Barbican. Bernstein considered the poem ‘one of the most shattering examples of virtuosity in the history of English poetry’.
The concert is part of a double-bill of works by Bernstein to celebrate the centenary of the Orchestra’s former president.
Zimerman will be performing Bernstein's work over the next year with several orchestras including Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and Berliner Philharmoniker.
