Elliott Carter: Late Works album release featuring Aimard & Knussen
Elliott Carter: Late Works album is released on August 11 featuring HarrisonParrott artists, Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Oliver Knussen. Carter’s following pieces will be featured: Dialogues and Dialogues II, Soundings, Interventions, Two Controversies and a Conversation for piano, percussion and chamber orchestra, Instances and Epigrams (dedicated to Pierre-Laurent Aimard). Among which five pieces were recorded for the first time.
The CD also features Colin Currie (for whom Two Controversies was commissioned), Isabelle Faust and Jean-Guihen Queyras, as well as the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group.
