Eivind Gullberg Jensen performs in Frankfurt and makes a Hamburg debut
On 17 January Eivind Gullberg Jensen debuts with Hamburger Symphoniker, conducting Debussy’s Prélude à l’après midi d’un faune, Prokofiev’s Symphony No.7 and Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No.1 alongside soloist Guy Braunstein.
This follows on directly from performances on 9 and 10 January with Junge Deutsche Philharmonie in Schweinfurt and at Alte Oper Frankfurt respectively. The orchestra’s winter project features some of the most celebrated music written for 'Les Ballet Russes' by Debussy, Falla, Satie and Stravinsky. Dancer-choreographers Frances Chiaverini and Inma Rubio join Gullberg Jenson and the orchestra on stage for Satie’s Parade and Stravinsky’s Petrouchka.
