Daniel Cohen debuts with Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra

21 October 2016

On 26 October Daniel Cohen makes his debut with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, when he conducts Benjamin Attahir’s Samaa Sawti’l Zaman, Dutilleux’ Cello Concerto Tout un monde lointain and Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite.

This programme, aptly labelled ‘Sounds of the future’, celebrates both composition and performance of a breakthrough nature.

Cohen’s other orchestral highlights in the 2016/17 season include debuts with the Dresdner Philharmonie, Staatskapelle Berlin and RTÉ National Symphony orchestras, as well as a return to the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic and the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale.
