Daniel Cohen debuts with Berlin Staatskapelle
Daniel Cohen debuts with the Berlin Staatskapelle for the ‘Sacre Ballet Project’. Performances take place at Staatsoper Berlin with the Sasha Waltz Ballet Company on 19, 20, 25 November and then again in March 2017.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the world premiere of Stravinsky’s ballet music Le sacre du printemps, Daniel conducts this masterpiece with Debussy’s Prélude à L’Après-midi d’un faune and Berlioz’s Scène d’Amour from Roméo et Juliette.
After last month's successful performances with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Daniel's upcoming projects include his continued work as Kapellmeister at Deutsche Oper Berlin, conducting performances of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. Alongside this, Daniel will make his debut with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and Dresden Philharmonic as well as returning to the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale.
