Christoph Poppen conducts Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra at Concertgebouw
Christoph Poppen is with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra this week for four concerts at the Concertgebouw between 9-12 April as well as the Theatre Heerlen (10 April). Poppen leads the ensemble in a programme including Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture, Schubert's Symphony No. 7 and Brahms' Symphony No. 4.
The programme was devised by the late Yakov Kreizberg, former Music Director of the orchestra, and last on the podium with them in February this year. Christoph Poppen and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra have dedicated this week's concerts to Kreizberg and will commemorate their Music Director with the addition of Bach's Befiehl Du Deine Wege at the beginning of all four concerts.
