Charlotte Hellekant sings Handel with Academy of Ancient Music at Wigmore Hall
Charlotte Hellekant performs Handel’s comic Cantata Clori, Tirsi e Fileno with the Academy of Ancient Music underRichard Egarr at London’s Wigmore Hall on 11 June, and at West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge, on 13 June. The programme also includes music by Scarlatti and Corelli.
Recent season highlights for Charlotte have included performances of Beethoven’s Symphony No.9 with the Wiener Symphoniker under Christoph Poppen, performances of two Mahler Symphonies - No.2 with the NDR Sinfonieorchester conducted by Eivind Gullberg Jensen No.8 with the hr-Sinfonieorchester and Paavo Järvi - and Toshio Hosokawa’s Matsukaze, at the Berliner Staatsoper.
Charlotte opens her 2013/14 season with Mendelssohn’s Walpurgisnacht, in performances conducted by Pablo Heras-Casado – first with the Münchner Philharmoniker, then at San Francisco Symphony.
