6 March 2015

Mezzo-soprano Charlotte Hellekant returns to the Los Angeles Philharmonic on 10 March to sing Berio’s Calmo in their Green Umbrella series under the orchestra’s music director, Gustavo Dudamel.

Charlotte continues to maintain her reputation as a versatile artist with performances of both contemporary and baroque repertoire this season. Recent highlights include performances of Hosokawa’s The Raven on tour in Japan as well as Philippe Boesmans’ Au monde at the Opéra Comique.

Alongside these contemporary works, Charlotte has sung the roles of La Messagiera and La Speranza in Sasha Waltz & Guests’ new production of L’Orfeo which has seen her perform at De Nationale Opera for the premiere, and at Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg. She joins them again for further performances at Bergen International Festival, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and Staatsoper im Schiller Theater, Berlin.
