Arvo Volmer leads a new production of Turandot with Opera Australia
Arvo Volmer leads a new production of Turandot with Opera Australia, opening at Sydney's Opera House on 17 January. Chief conductor of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Volmer made his Opera Australia debut conducting The Girl of the Golden West in 2010, and has now conducted Puccini's frontier opera in Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane, winning nominations for Green Room and Helpmann awards. Now he looks to the East, with Puccini's final masterpiece. The spectacular production is directed by Graeme Murphy with designer Kristian Fredrikson.
